This video was shot aboard Alcatel-Lucent's cable-laying ship, the Ile de Sein. The scene shows the initial stages as cable was fed from ship to our Port Alberni shore station. Then cable was laid through alberni inlet and out to sea. Near the end of the clip, watch the plough as it was lowered into the water. This plow was used to bury exposed sections of the cable in shallow waters.
