NEPTUNE Canada regional cabled ocean network, located in the Northeast Pacific, is part of the Ocean Networks Canada Observatory. Our network extends the internet from the rocky coast to the deep abyss. Our sister network, VENUS operates in coastal waters of the Salish Sea.
We gather live data and video from the seafloor, making them freely available to the world, 24/7.

Several working committees serve important roles for NEPTUNE Canada. These include the Science Planning Committee, the Users Committee and the DMAS Advisory Committee.
We currently have working instruments and infrastructure in place on the seafloor. There is a potential impact on your fishing activities.
