Biography

Karen Douglas

Technical Administrator

Karen joined NEPTUNE Canada in May 2010 as the Metadata Specialist and moved into her current position as Technical Administrator in August 2010. She is primarily responsible for the geographic information systems. Karen also works closely with the NEPTUNE Canada Executive Committee completing tasks that require technical and/or scientific knowledge. These include: production of presentation material for conferences and journal articles, graphics and diagrams of the system, and editing of funding applications.

Previously, Karen worked at the VENUS Network providing operational data support from 2008-2010. She has a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Ocean Sciences from the University of Victoria.
